My poor neglected blog. Sigh. Is anyone still reading this? ;P I am failing miserably in social media these days with no good explanation. So to make up for it, here is a coupon for 50 percent off for any purchase of $3.00 or more. Use coupon code:

We have lots of fun things going on at
Plain Digital Wrapper this month for our pool party. This week was a challenge to make some waves and scrap outside of our normal style. So I took the dive and did a fantasy layout. I am intrigued by fantasy layouts but they have never really been my style. I am more of memory scrapper, I guess. Although it was fun to try something new, I was quickly reminded of the real reason I avoid fantasy layouts, I hate extractions (and I even have Topaz Remask which is supposed to make it easier). Does it get easier with practice?
I decided to do a pirate scene since I took the kids on a Pirate Adventure last weekend so had the perfect photos. This was originally a picture of my son shooting the water canon at Stinky Pirate Pete. I used
Pirate's Adventure by a new designer at Deviant Scrap, High Four Designs.
Overall, I think I like it. I am still not convinced it has a enough stuff on it though. It feels a little plain to me.
I have been out of town the last two weekends so have missed the Beach Blanket Bingo chats but am hoping to make it tonight. Here is my first digi bingo card. I used
Circus by
Southern Creek Designs.
Chats start at 10 p.m. EST and we would love to have you stop by and join us. There will be prizes for the first person to bingo and the first person to do a cover-all. You can find the Bingo Card template and word list
here.
Last week my Mom was visiting and the week-ended with my three-year old in a full arm cast so there wasn't much time for scrapping and this week I spent most of the week straring at blank page trying to come up with an idea for a fantasy page. (Hint: It helps to have the right kit to start with. Once I found that, thanks to a search at DST last night, things went much smoother.) I only got one other new layout done this week for the chat challenge at Scrapbook Graphics. The challenge was to scrap your favorite song title. I used
