Two Quickpages from FishinmomDesigns New Kits

I finally got time to do some layouts (thanks, Hummie for the encouragement to get scrappin') and have two quickpages for you today. These were done using FishinmomDesigns new kit, Eric:

And these were done using the adorable new kit, Alphabet Soup, also by FishinmomDesigns.

(The photo layout on this page was taken from a template by Simply Sarah Designs.)

I made these two into quickpages for you from my layouts. Links Expired.

Want this quickpage???

Been a little lonely over at my quote challenge at Hummie's World this month. Won't you come join me? The quote for this month is "Sister and Brotherhood is a condition people have to work at." Are you up for the challenge? Can you use this quote in a layout? It would be a great quote to tell the REAL story between you and your sibling. Come on, you know it isn't always all flowers and hearts all the time! Yeah, you love them but it isn't always easy being related to them, now is it? At least that is my story and for some reason I suspect I am not alone. Or how about a layout of your children? If they are anything like mine, this quote fits them to a tee, one minute they are hugging each other and the next seeing which one can aggrevate the other one more.

Here is one of the quickpage posting bonuses you will receive for particpating in this challenge. (There is one for brother too.)

Hope to see you there.

At the Beach Paper Pack Freebie

Since I can't really do too much else except lay on the couch without the room spinning (seems I have an infection in the canal in my inner ear which is causing Vertigo), I thought I would play with some of my photos from the beach a couple of weeks ago along with some of those cool actions from Atomic Cupcake. At least I can look at the computer today without it making me feel dizzy. I couldn't really even do that two days ago.

Here is what I came up with for you . . .

I did them in both square and landscape formats. Sorry, the link has expired.
Enjoy!

July 4th Quickpage

I really wanted to be in bed 15 minutes ago. Where did the day go? I have to travel again tomorrow. This time it will be about four hours for my nieces fourth birthday party. This will be the third weekend in a row and the fourth out of the last five I have been out of town. I am not sure I like traveling anymore. Usually, I can play on my laptop to pass the time and at least do a layout or work on a quickpage but tomorrow I have to drive since hubby has to work and can't go so I am really dreading it.

July Fourth for us was spent traveling to a family reunion that was on July 5th. By the time we got where we were going, we were too tired to even try to find out where the fireworks were. I hope those of you in the states got to see some great ones though and that you took some amazing firework pictures. Mine never turn out quite like I think they will anyway. I never can get the timing just right it seems. But if you were lucky enough to get some great photos of your July 4th Celebration, FishinmomDesigns has added a great kit , July 4th - Old Glory, to the store to help you get those scrapped.

I used it a couple of weeks ago to scrap some pictures I took on my lunch break.
I made the layout into a quickpage for you.
Link Expired.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Challenge Updates

Have I really not posted for two weeks? Didn't realize it had been that long. I have been out of town the last two weekends and have to go out again next weekend as well. I think I have only had one free weekend since June started and that was only because of an event cancellation. I think after next weekend though it should settle down again and I should be able to get back to make some freebies for you. Plus Hubby was out of town for the last two weeks for work so I was a little busy with that parenting thing.

While you are waiting for some more freebies though you can check out the challenges I am hosting and earn some great prizes.

Over at Hummie's world this month you can join the challenge to create a layout about the many aspects of siblinghood with this quote:

Sisterhood and brotherhood is a condition people have to work at. ~Maya Angelou

I came across this while looking for a quote about brothers for my ABC's of Me book and just had to share it so see what others take would be on this quote. I have two quickpages for posting bonuses for any one that participates in the quote challenge this month.

Over at My Scrap Shop, it is my turn to host the ABC's of Me Challenge. We are up to the letter "C" already and will be working on this letter until July 15. Here is my layout:

(Credits: ABC Jump by Digitreats).

Pillowgirl is working on a great posting bonus for this challenge that is all about the letter c . . .
She tells us it is going to be one HUGE prize that you won't want to miss and has hinted that things like commercial use and coupon begin with "c" too.

So what are you waiting for? Go get some sibling or "c" layouts done then head on over the forums and share them.
