Want to see what have I been scrapping?
First I worked with the new collab at Pretty Scrappy called Rough and Tumble. I made a couple of quickpages which are included in the 21-Page Quickpage Album that is free with a $15 purchase at Pretty Scrappy for the next couple of weeks. One of them I haven't finished the journaling on yet so it isn't shown here.
This one is a two page spread from our family reunion last year. I am so glad these kids weren't getting in my car to go home! The second page of this is part of the quickpage album at PS.
Then after all those boys pages I had done, I thought it was time to pretty it up a little. Julie. Itis.'s sweet new kit, Lovebug Serenade was just the change I was looking for.
There was a challenge at Pretty Scrappy that had a template by Teri Mayo to make a Starbucks coffee cup tumbler which looked interesting. I am more of hot chocolate kind of girl and have only been to Starbucks once in my life because of that, so I decided to make it a layout instead.
Then it was time for something a little bolder (and in my favorite color combo too). I got the new kit, Music of the Soul by Darhena from My Scrap Shop.
Apparently though, I still wasn't ready to give up on pretty yet so I made this layout for one of the new challenges at My Scrap Shop. The prize this month made by Pillowgirl is awesome and I had one more part to get the whole kit so I figured why not do the poetry challenge. The poem I used for this is by Thena Smith, whom I got a chance to chat with through the Technique Challenge at Hummie's a couple of months ago. Thena is such a sweet lady and has some very inspirational poetry both on her blog and in the several books she has published. She is sure to inspire you to make some layouts that will be cherished for years to come.

I did Round 1 of the ADSR challenge which was at Hummie's even though I am not in the race. I used Fruit Stripe Summer by Julie. It is. and the torn paper templates by Hummie (which I modified) for this.
