Bad, bad blogger . . .and MSS Blog Train

Sorry I have been MIA. It has been a crazy few weeks and I just got back in town from my Grandma's funeral and my son's birthday party. Unfortunately, I didn't have much of an Internet connection where I was.

I am happy that my template challenge at Pretty Scrappy is going well. I was a little nervous about it. You can check out all the great layouts from my template here. You can still get the template here too until the end of the month.

Plus, I had so much fun making that template, I decided to make a template for the posting bonus for my themed quote challenge over at Hummie's World for May.

Remember the RAK I got from Donna Duncombe? I used the layout I did with it to base my template on.

Now, how about some quickpages? You can get them both here on Mediafire.

These were made using the April Showers & May Flowers Collab from the designers My Scrap Shop.

You can also pick up more quickpages from this kit on the blogs below later this week. I am going to be out of town for my anniversary so wanted to make sure I got mine up before I left.

Are We There Yet? Quickpage

Well, that certainly seems like an appropriate title after the evening I had last night. Thanks to mechanical problems, a missing flight crew, a storm, and a tower being struck by lightening my flight that should have arrived home at 9 p.m. last night got me here at about 2 a.m. this morning. But I did make it home safely, albeit exhausted, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

I woke up this morning to find a wonderful surprise in my mailbox. I got a RAK (random act of kindness) from designer Donna Duncombe. Isn't the Blessed Be kit awesome? I have some CT stuff to finish up but this is next on my list to play with after I get those done. Thanks, Donna for making my day!

OK - back to "Are We There Yet" . . .I am always looking for a good kid-themed travel kit so when this one by Teri Mayo hit the store at Pretty Scrappy I couldn't resist it.

Have a great weekend!

About a Boy Quickpage

Miss me???? Things have been a little hectic the last few weeks but hopefully they are starting to return to normal. This past week, I have been playing with a very boyish kit from Designs by Mel. As soon as this showed up in the Pretty Scrappy store, I had my eye on it and was glad to finally get some time to work with it.

Aren't those elements a must-have? You can get the whole About a Boy kit here and right now it is on sale for only $2!

(Sorry, Link Expired.) Remember, the Pretty Scrappy Quickpages are only up for one week so this will be taken down the middle of next week. If you want it for free, you better grab it now.

I decided in order to keep my sanity the last few weeks I need to concentrate on all the beauty that God has created around me and worked some on my nature book.

I used Rock That Robin by Julie.Itis for this.

I used Golden Minikit by Julie.Itis. for this one.

For this one, I used Irelynn by Dani's Delusions.

I haven't gotten too much done in the baby books, but I did get these two layouts (in addition to the one above) done.

This one was done using Little Boy at Play by Julie.Itis.

I used Funk-a-Licious (the April Mega Collab) from Pretty Scrappy to make this one.

Dani's Delusions has just opened a new store at Plain Digital Wrapper! To celebrate, she teamed up with Julie.Itis. for her first exclusive kit there, Retro Spring.

Uniquely adorable, isn't it? I haven't had time to play with it yet, but hope to get some time to do so soon.

Happy Scrappy!

Layouts and Freshly Baked and Moonbeam Quickpage Freebies

Update: There are TWO Freebie quickpages in this post, Freshly Baked and Moonbeam. Be sure to grab both of them. Looks like the second one is being overlooked.

Miss me? I finally got my replacement laptop from the manufacturer earlier this week so hopefully you will be hearing more from me. So much to share, where to should I start?

The collab at Pretty Scrappy is so adorable this month! Every month they just seem to get better and better.

I loved this one so much I had to play with it while I was waiting for a few details of my Quickpage Team assignment to be worked out. I redid one of the pages from baby girl's book which I wasn't all that crazy about the first time around. Still not loving this picture of me but I do love the layout a whole lot more than I did before.

My assignment this month was hybrid! I wasn't too sure about it at first since I hadn't done this type of album before, but with a little encouragement from a few friends, I am pleased with how it came out. Here is a preview of the two pages I did for the 28-page Maya Road Hybrid Album that is free with a $15 purchase this month at Pretty Scrappy.

When I saw this kit from Creations by Rachael B it was calling my name. I tried to resist since I am supposed to be working on my baby books but I REALLY wanted to play with it. Isn't it a fun kit?

Here is my layout I did with it.
I made it into a quickpage for you. LINK EXPIRED.

I have to show you this gorgeous kit by new designer, Dani's Delusions. I have been watching her amazing designs for awhile and am so thrilled that she now has her own store now at Sunshine Studio Scraps. (If you are thinking of getting this, be sure to check out Julie.Itis.'s blog for a coupon for 25 percent off at Dani's store.)

Here is my layout with this.
I had never done a scraplift before but when my friend Miss Chris was selected as the person to scraplift for the challenge at Plain Digital Wrapper, how could I pass that up? Here is the layout I did using RazMaTazz by Juile.Itis. for the challenge.

It was a scraplift of this layout by Miss Chris:

Speaking of Julie. Itis., my has she been busy! I have three new kits I got to play with since last I blogged.

First up is the very pretty and whimsical Steggo's Valentine:

Then we have this fun little collab she did with Tracy King, Marshmallow World.

I did another not-for-the-baby-books layout using this kit but aren't the kids so cute in the snow? How could I resist? Actually, at the moment I am caught up on my baby book scrapping goals until the end of February so I had a little time to play.

Then we have the very celestial kit, Moonbeam, which is Julie's latest release.

Here are a couple of layouts I got done with this one.
I had so much fun with Miss Chris's scraplift I decided to try the one this month to scraplift the very talented Annette. Here is what I came up with.
It was a scraplift of Annette's Adorable layout.

And because Annette is such a sweetie, she said I could give you my layout as a quickpage. Annette just started her very own blog so if you get a minute, stop by and welcome her to blogville!

While we are on the topic of scraplifting, guess who was chosen for the Scraplift Challenge at My Scrap Shop this month? I was so surprised to see that my layout I showed you last time with the poem from Thena Smith was selected to scraplift. How cool is that? So I decided in honor of this, I would scraplift myself. :D Here is what I came up with. I did modify it a little though (but that is the great thing about a scraplift) because I was playing with the use of "white space" in a layout for a challenge at Hummie's World.
(Everything I used for this one was by Flergs.)

I am sure you are tired of reading by now so I will let you get back to whatever it is that keeps you busy. Happy scrapping!
